Where he throws all his crap out into the open...Our Christian government knows it better then God…
The Dutch Minister of Health Ab Klink has announced he will make an end to the legal status of the Magic Mushroom in The Netherlands. Although this message certainly did not surprise me; it hit me hard. Real hard. Now I know how an uppercut really feels…
A few incidents in Amsterdam, where mushrooms were less-or-more involved, caused a lively discussion about the (potential) danger of these mind-altering wonders of nature. Our creepy politicians constantly screamed it’s a dangerous fungus from hell and a ban is good for us; they want to protect our health. Of course on the other side many people were defending the mushroom with every argument possible.
I have followed this discussion closely and I also put my 2 cents in. But now I have become very, very tired of this whole discussion. Maybe pissed off is a better choice of words. Mostly because it has shown it was completely useless and a complete waste of time. The minister had made his decision a long time ago already and no way would he ever change that again.
What upsets me the most this ban has nothing to do with public health whatsoever. Every person who does his research properly will conclude magic mushrooms have to be respected, not doomed. This whole ban is just a matter of kissing some ass within the European Union; our drug policy just has to come more in line with other countries around us.
The Netherlands is currently led by a government which mainly exists out of fundamental Christians. Of course Ab Klink is one of them. My big question is: How is it possible a Christian knows it better then his own God? Let me quote their own Bible:
Genesis 1 – The Story of Creation
11 And God said, "Let the earth put forth vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, upon the earth." And it was so.
12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
29 And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.
31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.
In God we trust. Amen!
