Queensday in Amsterdam is something you must have experienced at least once in your lifetime. At this day the city changes into orange, it becomes one major flea market, stages spring up through the city with all kinds of music, music pumps out of sound systems everywhere and parties just seem to pop up all the time out of nothing.
Officially Queensday is the national celebration of the birthday of the Dutch Queen Mother, but in reality this is only an excuse to party real hard.
The weather is the key factor for an outdoor festival like this, especially with the climate in Holland. But thanks to the global warming we had luckily this year one of the hottest Queensday ever.
We have partied along with 550.000 crazy people and our dedicated photographer tried to make some nice pictures from this fantastic annual event. We hope you enjoy. Here we go..!
