Paradiso
Paradiso, inside an old church, is the number one Rock temple of The Netherlands. It’s a legendary music venue and cultural center, located very close near the Leidseplein.

The Melkweg (Milky Way) is one of the most well-known music venues and cultural centers of The Netherlands. It is housed in a former milkfactory on the Lijnbaansgracht near the Leidseplein.

Bimhuis (jazz)
The Bimhuis has been a center for jazz in Europe since it opened its doors in 1973. It provides a perspective on Dutch and international music in over 250 concerts annually, in which a variety of jazz and improvised music can be enjoyed.

One of the places to be in Amsterdam for punkers, squatters and all other alternative minded people. OCCII is a non-profit concert hall that specializes in alternative, underground, non-hit parade music.

Bitterzoet
Bitterzoet is mainly a club, but also a podium and a theatre. In the bar of Bitterzoet there's always a program, varying from DJ's to bands. Sometimes there are productions in the theaterroom upstairs.

Koninklijk Concertgebouw (Royal Concert Hall)
Soon after its establishment in 1888, the Concertgebouw Orchestra developed into one of the best orchestras in Europe. The Orchestra was granted Royal status in 1988.
