Prof. David Nutt is back

Big Balls David

Remember Professor David Nutt? He used to be the UK's chief drugs adviser, but got sacked a few months ago. Reason: criticism. He openly disagreed with the decision of the UK government to reclassify cannabis to Class B from C. He also accused ministers of devaluing and distorting evidence and said drugs classification was being politicised. And that's some language the people in charge didn't accept. But damn right he was. And now David is back, stronger then ever.

Quote of the Day

"Prohibition... goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded."
- Abraham Lincoln, December 1840
