Cannabis ruderalis - An Explanation

SeedsCannabis ruderalis is sister of Cannabis sativa and Cannabis indica. Cannabis ruderalis is a relatively unknown variety of cannabis, which naturally occurs in the mountains of the Caucasus to Mongolia and China. It is likely that the Cannabis ruderalis originates in the south-east of Russia, after which it has quickly spread in the wild.

The plant was named 'ruderalis' because of it's preference for so-called 'ruderal' places, such as rocky locations and rubbish, poor sites. In nature the Cannabis ruderalis can reach up to 30 - 60 cm in height, with only a few branches and a relatively low count of leaves. Cannabis ruderalis only generates relatively few and small female buds.

A distinctive and exclusive property of the Cannabis ruderalis is that this plant will quickly and automatically flower and start creating buds. Compared to the Cannabis sativa and Cannabis indica the Cannabis ruderalis doesn't need a reduction of sun hours a day in order to flower. The Cannabis ruderalis flowers when she reaches a certain age.

Cannabis ruderalis more or less contains the same amount of cannabinoids as the Cannabis sativa and Cannabis indica, however the THC % is significantly lower.

Cannabis ruderalis has an interesting medicinal and shamanistic tradition. The oldest evidence date back to 2400 years ago. In a 'Scythian' grave in Mongolia a bag of hemp seeds were found, which are strongly thought to be Cannabis ruderalis seeds.

Until the present day the Cannabis ruderalis is used in Russian and Mongolian folk medicine to treat depression. From research, (sponsored by the Mongolian Academy of Sciences) set up to document the shamanistic and folk medicinal knowledge of medicinal plants in Mongolia, we learn that the Cannabis sativa and Cannabis ruderalis have been used for various medicinal purposes in Mongolia. The Cannabis sativa is mostly used as a source of oil, while the Cannabis ruderalis is more often used for it's psychoactive properties. Additionally it's plausible that the shamans in Mongolia use the Cannabis ruderalis in order to reach their 'shamanistic trance'.

Seeds of pure Cannabis ruderalis are not or barely available. However many seeds are available from hybrids between the ruderalis and sativa/indica varieties. These seeds are often called 'autoflowering cannabis seeds'.

Every cannabis seed on the market which is labbeled as pure Sativa is actually a hoax !!! the base could be a sativa but definetely has selected indica traits in it because otherwise with pure sativa YOU CAN'T GET HIGH!!! and the THC potency is genetically given so they had to invent something / hoaxing to ernich the offer ! this is pure marketing not sativa :P

While I feel like a dick for having to point this shit out; you sir, have published bile on this site and should cease and desist at once until you graduate from public education. First off, you're throwing in bits from Wikipedia and the other articles on this site and you can't even put it together that no, Ruderalis does not more or less contain the same amount of THC as Sativa/Indica which is why it had to be hybridized to produce a worthy smoke.

You also state "same amount of cannabinoids as the Cannabis sativa and Cannabis indica, however the THC % is significantly lower". This doesn't make sense when THC is a cannabinoid and I'm sure you're referring to the other 66 known varieties out there but you should specify, be thorough.

Beyond this all of the other mystical bullshit you threw in is just more word bile; you've wasted precious moments of peoples lives and filled their head with nonsense. Please take this article down.
