Some 20 years ago, a Bob decided he wanted a hostel, where young people from all over the world could sleep under the cleanest of sheets without having to pay too much.

Bob liked a hostel where anybody could just knock on the door and find a place to stay. That's why Bob's hostel doesn't normally accept reservations, it would take away from the spontaneous character he wanted his hostel to have. Reservations can be made, but only for groups.

Today, Bob’s Youth Hostel has 150 beds, divided into mixed dorms and one girl’s dorm. The dorms all have bathrooms and toilets. Beds are 18 euro a night (breakfast included).

Bob’s Youth Hostel realizes there are people who appreciate rest. To accommodate them also, they added apartments for two or three persons to their hostel. And what nice apartments they are. They have a kitchen, television and bathroom and they cost 70 euro for two and 80 euro for three persons. A must see for anybody who wants the nightlife to stop at the front door.

The hostel is located in the centre of Amsterdam (3 mins from Central Station and
Dam Square). The red-light is close by, and so is the Anne Frank House. On top of that, there are dozens of bars and venues in the direct vicinity. Tramline 1,2,5,13 and 17 stop right in front of the door, and they’ll take you almost anywhere.
